A fire at the Renesas Naka plant in Japan left both the automotive and IoT/infrastructure industries short on MCUs. The Texas storm that took multiple manufacturer's fabs offline has had a direct impact on SSD supply, which will continue to be tight for Samsung, through May 2021.
