Samsung pre-announces record 3Q26 operating profit of KRW 107.4T on HBM4 and memory price gains

Samsung pre-announced a record third-quarter 2026 operating profit of KRW 107.4 trillion, up 782.5% year on year, on revenue of about KRW 195T. The company attributed the result to HBM4 and memory price gains, according to TrendForce and Financial News.

Reuters reports that Samsung and Micron expect the supply gap to last through 2028. DRAMeXchange data shows average DDR4 8Gb prices roughly doubled from March to September. Record supplier earnings alongside a multiyear supply gap point to firm memory pricing continuing into 2027.
