Pricing is moving the same way. TrendForce reported that DDR4 led legacy memory higher in Q1 2026, with prices up to 50% and DDR3 in tight supply. Wccftech reports DDR4 prices rising over 50% in Q3 2026, with DDR3 also costing more.
Long-lived industrial, networking and medical designs that remain on DDR3L or DDR4 are the most exposed to longer lead times and higher prices.
