Intel discontinues older Spartan and XC9500XL families; final orders closed June 29, 2024

Devices in the 7-Series are cited as supported through 2040, which makes them the named migration path. Sustainment programs still built around legacy Xilinx parts now depend on remaining inventory, where grey-market stock and counterfeit exposure are the main risks.
Buyers should confirm the lifecycle status of each legacy part on the bill of materials and require authenticated sourcing for any remaining inventory.
